Ferretti Search is an award winning staffing and recruiting firm headquartered in Charlotte, NC who not only believes in helping candidates further their careers but also invests in helping college students gain valuable professional experience. Rick Ferretti, Founder and CEO of Ferretti Search, is an alumni at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, along with several other members of the team at Ferretti Search, which has inspired the partnership with UNCC for the internship program.
Ferretti Search’s Internship Program is led by Operations Specialist, Madi Braswell, who was one of the very first interns in 2020. Madi entered the program hoping to learn and gain experience that would prepare her for future work opportunities.
“I really enjoyed my time here, it was a great learning experience because all of the other internships I was considering required a lot of experience, when all I wanted was an internship to gain that experience that I needed for the workforce,” she said. As the company continued to grow during her internship, Madi continued to take on new responsibilities and was promoted to a part-time then full-time employee when she graduated. She quickly jumped in and spearheaded recruiting and managing the internship program moving forward.
“I wanted to make this internship an experience where students can learn about the industry and gain confidence in the workplace,” she added, “my goal is for students to come into this program and get a better idea of what they want to do after graduation, whether that means they want to go into recruiting or go in a completely different direction.”
These internships are a beneficial program that gets you connected to a path of success. Shadowing calls, participating in training, working alongside sales teams in their marketing efforts, social media management and listening to the candidate and client engagement process are all part of this program that allows interns to gain knowledge and confidence that can set them up for a career after graduation.
